Old Style Bar-B-Q in Olive Branch

As we are headed to Arkansas this is definitely one of our favorite BBQ stops before we reach rthe traffic and chaos of Memphis. It is easily accessible and right off of the interstate. If you want to purchase BBQ Sauce they will fill up a cup for you to take with you right out of the pot. Just delicious for the entire family!

Nice establishment, it has a served side and a self served side. The bbq nachos were perfect, actually too much food for one but good for two or three people. Hamburgers were good but the grilled chicken wrap was the best i had ever had. Food took a little bit of time to get to us but you cant rush perfection.

Respectable food at a fair price. Service was timely and waitstaff was very nice and helpful.

We ate here for the first time this weekend. We usually go to Central BBQ but this was close. It was FANTASTIC. Great Memphis style BBQ. We ordered almost the whole menu and it was all REALLY good. The the only place I have had greens that taste like my grandmother's. And the caramelization on those ribs was a edible art. Definitely going back..... Soon!

We were in town visiting and decided to pull in when we saw the place. GLAD WE DID! Awesome food and service to match.

Just before 5:00 on a Tuesday and the place is empty. Had the combo with ribs and chicken wet. Beans and greens and a piece of cowboy toast. Nice smoke ring on the ribs. Wet wasn't over powering. Beans weren't over powering and the greens were good, but I don't eat a lot of greens. Finished the meal with a piece of strawberry cake. It was a nice finish to a pretty good meal. I think all the beauty queens hang out here. So come on by.

What stands out about this eatery is the friendly and engaging waitresses. They go out of their way to be helpful. As others have reviewed, the barbecue is okay. They do offer a kids' menu. We visited after the lunch hour so parking was not a problem. Ladies room was tight but clean.

I eat here any time I'm in the area. It is normally my Monday night dinner stop, really even when I'm not hungry. If you stop by you MUST try the Pork Rib Eye it is to die for delicious. Most everyone on the staff I have encountered have been excellent. I will sometimes eat here 2 or 3 times a week. Its very affordable for what you get. Great portions, great food, and great people. If you don't stop here it is your loss, believe me. I am so satisfied that I am tempted to bring my wife over from little rock just to eat here.

Highly recommend. Great service, delicious breakfast eggs cooked just like I like them. Sausage gravy fresh made. Good conversation. I live in Ga. But if I make it back to Olive Branch I will Definately stop and eat.

Great Restaurant! Generous portions and everything was delicious! Staff was very friendly and attentive. Felt like my family and I were having a home cooked meal at Grandma’s house. A perfect place if you are looking for a good meal and not just “fast food”.

I just moved from Knoxville and wanted to try a different place. I was met with friendly faces and the drive thru time was little to none. The sandwich was AMAZING. PERSONALLY, not the biggest fan of the slaw, so I'm glad I got it on the side instead of on the sandwich.But honestly. Ive never had such a pleasant experience with a drive thru service.I'm very happy and very satisfied. Definitely coming back to try something else!

Food and staff are great. Can not beat the price of the meals. The restaurant has always been clean when we have gone there. Will go back again.

Delicious breakfast, service was excellent. And company was to same standard. Wonderful locals sat at adjacent table. Felt like family. If ever in the area again will definitely stop and eat. Recommend highly.

To feed BBQ for 6 people, (meat, buns, slaw & sauce) $20.26. Best BBQ I've ever ate. If I'm near Memphis TN area, this is where I come to eat.

Been in Olive branch for going on 10 years now. Last time I tried old style bbq has been 7 or 8 years ago. They haven't changed any for the better to say the least. Ordered a rib plate earlier and paid $17 for it. The absolute worst ribs ever imaginable. Tough and chewy and just poor quality. I'm usually for supporting mom and pop businesses, but this outfit just beat unsuspecting blue collar folks out of a dime serving up slop at premium price. Goodbye old style bbq been year's since I tried you last, but never again.. your food and service is less then desirable at most.

Only thing wasn't good was those season fries but the chop shoulder sandwich was awesomely delicious and the soda wasn't water down

Strangest dining experience...walked in around 2 pm and not a soul in the place. No one spoke and we had to say we wanted to order food! We ordered burgers and fries and the overly chatty...very weird lady behind counter couldn't seem to understand what we wanted because when we finally got our long awaited order...there were no fries. I told her twice and my husband told her once what we wanted. She acted like we screwed up..and said..well..I didn't write down fries. We just looked at her strangely....who orders a burger usually with no fries anyway? We just took our food a nd ate as fast as we could because this lady was weird and couldn't stop talking. She the brought us a single order of cold fries that had to be leftover from lunch. We will never eat there again and I second a previous review who had a similar experience at this awful restaurant and its strange staff.

Really badd..Double thumbs down.. I was the only one there and it took over 20 minutes to get a simple hamburger with nothing else.. 4 people behind the counter laughing and screwing around while I'm sitting there.. On top of that ,the Hamburger taste like something you would get from a truck stop.. Don't even waste your time.

It was good, the sauce is not strong on my stomach and it's plenty meat. They serve Pepsi drinks, not coke products. Very tasty barbecue.

Service was very slow. Food was horrible. I got the combo plate and the ribs were greasy, tough, and basically leather. I will not be going back, this is not bar b que, this was like three day old left overs. This was a strange place to eat.

Didn't go for a long time.....I guess it's all about the floor staff.....Good service, great ribs, 2ed visit good 1/2 BBQ chicken... tater salad and slaw always good... Keep it up y'all !!

CA veggies were frozen. Wrong order, made it right but ribs were tough.Chicken tenders and fries were good but not what we went for.

Old Style has always been a great place to eat. I like that you're able to dine in - with or without table service - or go through the drive thru. The staff is courteous and very helpful. My favorite thing about Old Style is how invested in they are in the Olive Branch Community. This is very obvious as soon as you walk in the door. The pictures, decorations, and the atmosphere in general show that the owners and staff aren't just involved in the community, but the care about it.

The service was decent. The food was not good. Veggies were out of frozen bag. The chicken was decent. The beans were good. Overall not a place I'm rushing back too.

I love this bbq restaurant, and the people who manage and work here are the sweetest people ever. Love the Dlugach's!!

Since no one is answering the phone...I've been coming here for years, but tonight was the 2nd or 3rd bad experience. I paid $8 for a meal, didn't check it (my fault), got home, the fries were dark (as if they'd been cooked in old grease or something), and my lettuce was mostly brown. I was very disappointed. I'm unable to upload the pics, don't see the option to do so.

The ribs were terrible dry and not juicy. They added liquid smoke and the barbecue sauce tasted like a cross between Heinz 57 and red sauce.

Great food, and Kim our waitress was one of the best we have ever encountered.

We usually eat breakfast here. Great hometown feeling. Good food but sometimes you gotta wait cause their breakfast time is really busy. BBQ is good. We get it every once in a while but we really love the breakfast.

Always good food...some struggles with sn order but was quickly corrected.

This is my favorite place to get BBQ and dessert. This place is awesome. You will not be disappointed.

Has potential... Service was okay. The 1/2 Chicken is a great meal for the price. The dry rub is good. The sauce is a bit sweet for my liking. I also had the Pork Rib eye which tasted pan fried and was about the equivalent of a 6 oz steak. Portion was small for the price in comparison to most places I've eaten. Baked beans were great. The veggies were frozen steamed with no seasoning so very bland. And the slice of Texas toast is the same as the one from a frozen section of any store. In asking questions none of the sides are house made so expect a generic taste. My suggestion is watch a few Kitchen Nightmare episodes and listen to Gordon Ramsay's advice on making everything in house. Take the extra time to set yourself apart from everything and maybe it wont be dead at dinnertime
